James and Kate got hitched at Glen Tanar Ballroom, a beautiful Scottish venue nestled on the edge of the Cairngorms in Aberdeenshire. The venue grounds ooze wilderness vibes and wonder - if Harry and Ginny were to elope, this is where they’d go.
Their story is quite lovely, they met in Madagascar while James was working as a marine biologist and Kate was volunteering with a forestry conservation team - they met by complete chance at the communal campfire. Marshmallow, anyone?
Kate grew up nearby the venue and spend most of her childhood roaming the grounds of Glen Tanar. Now, although they live and work down south, Kate still returns each summer to work at the Cairngorm Reindeer Centre as a seasonal herder. This made getting married on the grounds even more special for them. They chose an outdoor wedding ceremony, which gave their day a really mystical feel - especially as it rained all day.
The vintage car in the photography is the car that James's parents featured as part of their wedding day. Just like James and Kate, they exited their ceremony in the car and it was a really sweet nod to the past. Oh, and Kate’s epic jumpsuit was handmade my her mum - dreamy!
So, let's take a look through the photographs...
